I bought the product IS7 but with many problems after installation.I didn’t get any respond from ticket support with emergency priority , even from an admin in forum.
I uninstall it and my machine works smoothly now…
I am sorry for my money…

What AV did you have before AIS?
Did you try remove AIS with Avast removal tool (aswclear.exe)?
If you can give is some more information on the problems you experienced then perhaps we can resolve the problem.
As JuninhoSlo implies this can be amongst other things a problem with another installed antivirus/security program.
Avast also has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, so contact sales@avast.com for a refund.
I have had huge problems with my Dell Vostro 3450 laptop (Windows 7 Professional SP1) since the Internet Security 7.0.1456 update. After restarting after the update I got a black screen and was only able to bring Windows up by going to Task manager and killing an Explorer process. That was no fix because I could not connect to the internet. I have completely uninstalled Avast at present and am weighing up my options. I would like to think they will fix it very soon but am getting increasingly angry at the lack of communication - I raised a ticket and got a completely useless and unsatisfactory response and then nothing when I said that response was unacceptable. If a fix comes soon I’ll stick with Avast as up until 7.0.1456 I have been very pleased with it. However I am on the verge of looking to another AV/Firewall provider. Does anyone know what Avast are doing about this obviously disastrous update ?
Andy if you want help, then we are prepared to help, in which case please start you own new topic and we will get on to it.
To fix something they have to know what the problem is, for me the first port of call would be the forums, that have people just wanting to help who are essentially their 24/7.
gp, sorry for hearing this. I’m on mobile now and it’s difficult to read long threads. I’ll try to help you tomorrow.
gp125, i also had many problems when i first installed my AIS, but i found that what really needed to be done ie; in my case was to uninstall AVG with their uninstall tool. restart twice make sure all traces of AVG was deleted/uninstalled/gone etc and then reinstall your Avast.
I did this and have not looked back, my pc is purring along very smoothly. And Avast is doing the job it was designed to do very efficiently. ![]()
The most important thing i learned was to clean out my old security software properly and the results speak for them selves, and i am what you can call a novice in computer terms.
That,s that point, before you install new AV (Avast of course 8) ) you have to rid your old AV program with their removal tools…
Here’s a link http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/
Then use CCleaner to get the left overs. http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ ![]()
More info would be nice. OS? Other security software? If uninstalled how was it uninstalled? ???
