I cannot have a service by my ISP because my AV blocks the popup windows (I’m told…) . Does Avast do this action ?

avast! doesn’t block pop-up windows, unless of course there were infected and you had the settings set to do this.

Firewalls, Browsers and third party utilities block pop-ups, check you settings.

A little more information wouldn’t go amiss, like what service is it you are trying to get and why would it need a pop-up?

It's a local service to have a web space and to register my data some pop up windows are used.
What version of avast, OS and browser are you using?
Vers. 4.5 with last updates . Winme . IE and Firefox ( FF blocks popup...I know it..)

You can stop firefox blocking pop-ups.

So it is a little like geocities that have pop-up ads to support free webspace.

If you are using the standard settings in avast! it shouldn’t block pop-ups.
