Still getting pop-ups in lower right hand corner of the screen.
They are bogus notifications from WellsFargo, Norton and DHL.
They all display “Chrome” plus one of the following:
5muk.writfun.com
user.yourmobistyle.com
See attached pdf with screen shots.
I have run Avast Cleanup and Malware Bytes.
Chrome is set up to block popups.

Avast Cleanup in isolation won’t resolve malware issues, that isn’t what it is for (cleaning junk files, etc. etc.).
What Antivirus program and version are you running ?
Avast Premium Security (formerly Avast Internet Security) plus free version of MalwareBytes.
What else should I be running?

Have you tried Malwarebytes AdwCleaner (not the same as Malwarebytes Antimalware) >> https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
If you still have problems, follow step #2 here and attach the the two logs >> https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=194892.0
Ran Malware Bytes 4.04. no viruses found. No logs to attach. Clicking on the fake notification yields a fake Windows virus warning, attached.

@Sass Drake will check your logs when he is online
Open Google Chrome and paste this in URL bar:
chrome://serviceworker-internals/
Click on Unregister for every entry listed.
Success! I actually followed the last step twice and rebooted each time after hitting “Unregister” for all the entries.
No pop-ups today.
Next step: Download or purchase whatever is necessary to protect against these types of invasions.
