Anyone that can also give me some advice on how to get rid of the search inqwire pop ups and such would be great. I have spent hours on the net trying to find answers. Why isn’t avast catching this? I also use adaware and windows defender. Any ideas for me?

Try these free and effective anti-Trojan/anti-spyware programs:
Ewido (XP’Win2000 only) http://www.ewido.net/en/
and/or a-Squared [url]http://www.emsisoft.com/en/[/url]
Spybot Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/
Run them in safe mode if possible. (Tap F8 while booting.)

The main reason avast does not catch this is that these are delivered by adware and/or other malware that are not a virus. I am surprised that Ad-Aware did not catch this. Are your Ad-Aware file definitions up-to-date?
Following Frank’s suggestions should help you with your problem. If so or if not, please post again letting us know.
It is always a good idea to give your computer’s OS, security programs (you did), plus any error messages/warnings you might recieve. Screenshots of such are also helpful.
