I just installed Secureline vpn.
Most internet apps seem to work the same as before, but Popcorn Time will not connect to peers or download anything. If I disconnect this VPN it works correctly.
What to do? :-\
Hello Baiter,
What site are you trying to connect to please? Try to connect to one of the server locations marked with the P2P symbol. If this still doesn’t work, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Davidek
Hi, my default VPN site seems to be Melbourne, I have tried Hongkong and San Francisco, they are the same and Popcorn will not work.
What is the PP symbol? I can’t see any.
Hi Baiter,
could you please try Popcorn with following server:
- Sao Paulo
- Miami
- New York
- Seattle
- Amsterdam
- Frankfurt
- London
- Prague
What SecureLine do you use? Is it standalone or the one built in Avast antivirus?
Popcorn time has own VPN service, do you use it as well?
Regards,
HK
Thanks, I tried that and it works but extremely slow.
Sao Paulo was the fastest about 140 kb/s, Prague and Miami were less than 50 kb/s.
Using the normal ADSL internet connection (not VPN) I usually get over 500 kb/s.
I am in Auckland, New Zealand and my Secure-line is in with the Avast anti-virus package.
I do not have the Popcorn Time VPN.
What can I do to go faster?
Hi Baiter,
We are now in the process of tuning OpenVPN in order to improve the download speeds. It’s in testing right now and hope release will be this week.
Best regards,
Davidek
I know its old thread but seems like secureline doesnt support popcorn time yet. I
v tested these popcorn time vpns but no luck:
https://www.popcorntimevpn.org/
The problem is not SecureLine, but Popcorn time.
It offers its own VPN service and doesn’t allow others.
