Each morning I am reminded that Avast scan found the excluded false positive virus, so I then tell it to Ignore that.
Then a popup asks if I would like to reboot and run a boot-time scan.
I cannot seem to stop that popup - is there a way ?

Some information on the detection might help, what scan detected it, the file name, location and malware name, etc. ?
Some detections if they are likely to have hidden elements (like a rootkit detection) would offer the boot-time scan, there are no UI exceptions to stop this action. So you either have to close the window manually or run the boot-time scan, which presumably you don’t want to if you think it an FP.
