**Possible Bug** Please confirm!

Hi I have used avast for a year now although my account does not say I have. Reason being is because I have used a different email in the past and stopped using that email for everything. Anyway my issue is that I have come up with the assumption that my issues that I have been having like for example (It is just my browser.) I am using Google Chrome always have love it never had any problems with it except one or two but they were not really anything to be harmful. My browser sometimes stops loading like in the middle of me looking things up at google.com and it sometimes just stops and I am searching one thing after another I have to wait like 10-20 seconds before it loads if that sometimes I have to close my entire browser. Until today which I thought “maybe it has something to do with my avast” so I turned off my avast for an hour, did my usual things, and did not have a issue. I do not know much about avast just that I have not had a virus and that its free thumbs up, I look through my avast satistics and find I have not even encountered a virus which is also good.

Beyond that I would just like some confirmation if it actually is Avast or just my browser

Hi Skydiddy.

I recently reinstalled the os for a laptop running Vista Home Premium and a desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate. I installed Avast 2015 on both of them.

Everything worked fine except I could not access HTTPS websites on either the desktop or the laptop and when the owner of the laptop installed Google Chrome it would not work.

Eventually, I found that Avast was the problem. By disabling Avast’s HTTPS Scanning I was able to access HTTP websites and Google Chrome worked properly.

Open Avast’s interface and go to Settings, Active Protection and then click on the Customise Web Shield button. Untick the box to disable Avast’s HTTPS Scanning click ok, and see if that helps.

There must be a way to do the same thing but without having to disable HTTPS Scanning. If anyone knows how, can they please post it here in simple to follow steps.
