Hello again. Last night after updating my backup AntiVirus Program (AntiVir PE Classic) my Avast Screensaver Scan “caught” 2 files it identified as virus files. They are avewin.32.dll which is 1782272 kb and was identified as Win32:Small-1700, and avewin32.dll2 which is 1782272 kb and was also identified as Win32:Small-1700.
I moved them to the Avast Virus Chest and attempted to email them to ALWil but encountered an error message from the Avast Virus Chest stating the files exceed 1024kb and are to large to be emailed to Avast.
I am thinking these may be false positives from the updated files I got for my AntivirPe Classic. At any rate the AntiVir will not function since I removed these files. I went to Jotti.Org and scanned Both files and Avast was the Only Scanner that identified these 2 files as infected. Should I restore these files?
BTW, I run Avast full power all the time, and only use the AntiVir PE for occasional secondary system scans or “on demand” secondary scans of downloaded files.
