Possible False Positive Detected During Full scan

Hi All

After issues I had yesterday, making sure this isn’t a real infection definitely

Yesterays issues

Loaded PC, (was running Defender at the time, as I was like well i’ll try it on Creators update, and see how it is–bad mistake, first one game wouldn’t load for some reason, not sure if it works with Creators, Dirt Rally on Steam wouldn’t go full screen, and such, well it messed up my Direct X, and Virtual dj wouldn’t run, even after system fresh start refresh, MS edge wasn’t working right, finally resorted to clean install, then did a full scan to make sure all clean just in case

ok that’s weird, now after adding it to chest and reporting the false positive, restored it back to it’s original directory, and now says no infection found

Did you upload that file to Virustotal just now?

I am asking since the scan date say >> Analysis date:2017-04-13 13:13:17 UTC ( 4 days, 7 hours ago )

When uploading file(s) to VT and you see it as scanned before (it ask see last report) always click on rescan for a fresh result, detection may have changed i 4 days

Latest reanalyzed results, only 1 out of 61 labeled it as malware, wasn’t Avast though

People reporting (including me) that after installing the creators update, several reboots might be needed before everything is working properly.

First thing I noticed was a tool that I am using wasn’t starting anymore. (not even in compatible mode)
Mysteriously solved itself after several reboots.

Second thing was my screen starting to flicker often.
Turned out that BOINC (with the SETI project) using my graphics card caused it.
Reinstalling BOINC and enabling the use of the GPU again solved the problem. (needed two reboots though)

Yeah I was running Creators update since early upgrade opportunity on April 5th, Not too many problems, just yesterday was a lot more than I ever anticipated, but managed to get it all solved, but to solve it ended up being clean install. Exactly what happened not sure on lol, but didn’t reinstall the games that maybe started the trouble lol. Just installed the games that I know work

Of course deciding to try Windows Defender wasn’t a smart move either lol

Immediately back on Avast lol

Doesn’t surprise me, though did get Western Digital SSD Dashboard working again after clean install lmao, funny thing was after first clean install wouldn’t install lmao, but works fine now. Before it kept saying “Western Digital SSD Dashboard has detected a older version, We’ll remove it, and just sat there lol” Tried it after clean install/updates in, and works now
