Maybe a simple question: I do not want the popup to show when avast! scans an email. (the one going all over the screen above the taskbar)
I found something under ON-ACCESS-Options.
The help of this function says: “During scan, detailed information will be shown in the bottom right corner of the screen”.
If I disable that, it’s still there.
I’m using Thunderbird as my email client.
Or is it just included in the pro-version?

Find the Mail Protection Wizard in your Windows start menu, there you find the option you are looking for.

elektronicus, what are you talking about, exactly? Can you post a screenshot?
Thanks

Do the same (disabling that option) in the Internet Mail provider and Outlook/Exchange plugin…

Thanks a lot. So Thunderbird or any no-Outlook-client is considered as Internet Mail/others and needs that option to be turned off I guess - you should change that maybe to make clear for non-Outlooks.
One more question: Only the Pro version of Avast! is able to delete email- or any other virus silently, correct?
The free version (Home) can only ‘send the file to Chest’ not delete it.
To do so: check ‘Silent mode’ with answer ‘No’.
Otherwise, the Pro version is very cool on automatic features. You won’t regret buying it

One more question (last, I promise…):
Is it not possible to replace the virfound.gif with an own gif? I made this new one (see attachement) but after a while it gets replaced with an the original again.
