Possible to upgrade laptop for gaming?

And, as you can see from the last of my signature, my laptop isn’t near what Craig has neither. But, the CPU does run at 2.8 Ghz though the installed RAM is 4 gb of memory. Also of help is that the GPU is what AMD calls “Premium Vision.” Right now, I’m not exactly sure which version of ATI that means.

Yes, if you have the money to spare, I would agree that ASUS has the best gaming laptops. I was considering one until I saw the HP in Staples for less than half the price so I went that way. It’s not as good as a good ASUS but it’s good enough for me. I would also avoid getting an Intel CPU in combination with an AMD discrete card. Then you have what is called “switchable graphics” and so far that has been a real headache for most owners since AMD drivers do not support that setup yet (they have promised to change that but it hasn’t happened yet) and you have to stick with the manufacturer’s drivers that don’t get updated very often. As a dedicated AMD Radeon fan , it pains me to say this, but if you get an Intel CPU in a laptop that has a discrete graphics card, you’re better off going with NVidia at this time.
