Possibly Corrupted File, Maybe More

I’m pretty computer savvy, but I’m a bit lost on this one. I have a file on my desktop that I took over from my old computer (it was entirely fine there) but now that it’s on this one it won’t open, won’t move, delete, rename, etc. Any action on it will freeze windows explorer or keep it from operating properly. I don’t know if it’s just a corrupted file, a bad sector (nothing else does this though), or some sort of crafty virus. I’m currently running a bootscan right now but it doesn’t appear to be finding it. Is there any tool that can help me get rid of it? It’s particularly annoying because as soon as Win7 tries to generate a thumbnail for it in an explorer window everything basically stops working.

Thanks for the help,
