Post Any Questions/Answers About The Remote Assistant Tool in Avast 7 Here?

I thought I would attempt to create a consolidated thread about the new Remote Assistant Tool in Avast 7. Ask questions about this feature, and than the community can answer them. Here are mine:

1.) When using the Remote Assistant, what is required? Can more be said about the special key that is used?

2.) How much control can a remote user give to your computer? What general things can they do? What things are built into Remote Assistant that they cannot do?

3.) Could the “Help” person, make matters worse by using this tool, if they did not know what they are doing? Could this create computer problems leading to a re-install of Windows because the “Helpee” went too far, and an “Oops” situation was created that cannot be recoverable.

4.) Has anyone used this tool yet? What were your experiences with it?

  1. Two persons need to exchange the security key, possible by some IM program, email or by phone.
  2. Remote user have the same rights as the user who gave the security code. His rights are same as he took keyboard and mouse. But local user can end the session anytime.
