Just thought to find out if any users of Windows 98 S.E are currently using the new version of Avast 4.8 Free?

If so are you finding any problems running or installing?

We could possibly use this thread for folks that use 98 and that may be experiencing any problems whatever they might be, now or in the future, hopefully not of course.

Your Topic Title is misleading in that it appears that you are having a problem with 4.8.1169 and win98se (and I haven’t seen any reported so far on the forums) rather than trawling for people who have had a problem.

I’ve got`` 4.8 Pro on 98SE and have had no problems whatsoever. N.B. anti-rootkit, self-defense, network shield and boot-time scan don’t apply to 98SE and all non-NT based OS.

Much clearer, when I first saw it, I though that you had a problem having decided to install avast.
