posting log files

I’ve justed:gotten high speed and added 2GB of Ram
Have done 8 system resores in last two years, want to try to keep all this newness without total system losses. I have these logs ready to send:hijack, gmer, otl, sophos, defrogger disable log and a Sandra log.

I’ve already got some update issues, file issues, hijack issues and I’ve
never been able to re-run Windows because Dell did not send a cd
with:Deminsion 3000 SP3,Windows XP Home Edition

I run Avast,Advanced System Care,MyDefrag,RegSeeker,CCleaner regularly.
What should I do?

Thanks for any help.

Well, isn’t your computer clean?
Why do you need to post the logs?

P.S. Advanced System Care is not safe, it’s from iObit and can do more harm than help.

Just today,it shut down twice with a system fatal error.
I get Visual runtime errors, my Windows update says I installed
things, then keeps offering to update it.
Was just wondering if taking a look a log file tell if I had some
problems.

Well, seems it’s better post the error numbers (of the blue screen) and screenshots (of the visual runtime errors).

I suggest:

  1. Clean your temporary files.
  2. Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on. If avast does not detect it, you can try DrWeb CureIT! instead.
  3. Use MBAM (or SUPERantispyware or even Spyware Terminator) to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, it is better and safer to send the infected file(s) to quarantine (Chest), rather than simply deleting them.
  4. Test your machine with anti-rootkit applications. I suggest avast! antirootkit or Trend Micro RootkitBuster.
  5. Make a HijackThis log to post here or this analysis site. Or even submit the RunScanner log to to on-line analysis.
  6. Clean your Hosts file (replacing it) with HostsMan tool.
  7. Disable System Restore and then reenable it again.
  8. Immunize your system with SpywareBlaster.
  9. Check if you have insecure applications with Secunia Software Inspector.
