Potential Virus: Unable to turn on Shields except for Firewall

Hello,

Recently, I’ve noticed I only have one shield turned on, being the firewall, and the other four will not turn on no matter what I do. I have tried repairing the program, restarting, etc. and nothing seems to work. I am unable to run scans because “There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper” and this is starting to worry me. I’m using avast Internet Security 2014.9.0.2021.

With the endpoint mapper, that may point to remnants of an old AV. What did you have before Avast ?

I didn’t have anything before avast other than Windows Firewall. This problem occurred yesterday and I’ve been using avast normally for about a year.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Select additions at the bottom
[*]Press Scan button.

[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please attach both logs generated.
