Have received two more in the same wrong language.
I’ll copy a bit from within one of the messages:
Abaixo está um resumo de toda atividade nos fóruns e tópicos assinados do Avast WEBforum hoje. Para cancelar a assinatura, por favor clique no link abaixo.
Let me show you this, but I’ll ‘X’ out some of the IP address, which is probably not necessary but better to err on the safe side.
Received: from forum-02.avast.com (forum-02.avast.com. [148.XXX.229.77])
And I have an email address that clearly indicates it’s from Avast, but I again don’t wish to post that here, unless somebody from the Team indicates there is no problem in doing so.
Anyway, the three messages sent so far are definitely coming from Avast.
And thank you for your continued attention to the problem.
Strange.
I do know that avast adjusted some things in the original files for this webboard.
Perhaps something went wrong there.
Nothing I can do for you except for asking someone from avast to have a look at it.
I received a rather interesting message from a member here and I feel compelled to acknowledge out here in the open that the member is correct. I might add that this member has taken me to task on a number of occasions over the years, so this wasn’t exactly a message of kindness, or any such thing. Nope, I think this person is angry at somebody or something. Including me. Oddly, I also thought this person was a member of the insider’s group here, so to speak.
Anyway, the message was basically that my phony attempt at sarcasm was stupid. The person, and I’ll be paraphrasing, stated that I would have been much better off just stating the obvious.
The “obvious” is that there can only be three reasons why my problem with this forum platform has not been fixed in the two weeks since I first posted about it.
The people who run this forum platform don’t have enough resources to be able to get the job done in that period of time.
The people running this forum platform don’t know how to fix the problem.
The people running this forum platform don’t care.
It seems that the member who has taken me to task for my earlier post just above this one feels that any of those three reasons is very bad news for a company in this business and there was no good reason for me to use the sarcasm method to try and get my problem solved.
I’ll have to admit that this member is right. So I am posting this and I hope that member will come out here on the main board and add the extra to this discussion that the member wrote in the message to me. Something about this company which I don’t dare write myself because I am not in a position to verify what was written. But I suspect the member who wrote me can.
Anyway, the person is right about one thing, for sure: it can only be one of the three reasons listed above.
What possible bearing would that have on my account?
Maybe you haven’t properly briefed yourself on what’s posted above and my answers already posted in this discussion, but it is my account that has the problem. I wouldn’t know if anyone else is having a similar problem.
And you can bet your sweet bippy the person who gave me a hard time for my sarcasm sure isn’t going to share anything with me about his account. He really doesn’t like me. But I think now he has more dislike for somebody in the company and guessed I’d do exactly what I am doing now.
Although I must admit that your question popped out of the blue. Please brief yourself of the facts in this case, thank you.
You know, folks, the longer this takes to even have proper attention focused on it by the web engineers, the more it becomes an issue that makes the company look bad, if that hasn’t happened already.
You can’t go asking folks to trust your engineering in the AV field of Net security but ask those same folks to ignore an issue somebody at the company either doesn’t know how to fix or that simply will ignore because they don’t like the person asking for the fix.
Come on, somebody at Avast headquarters. This is starting to get ridiculous.
I really wish somebody could explain this to me in a manner that made sense.
I figure there can only be two reasons for this – no three.
First: I have pissed off so many of the company officials here that somebody in an upper-management bracket has ordered me to be treated like bovine excrement.
Two: Sheer incompetence.
Three: Just plain crappy customer service, defined as “We could care less.”
I mean, really folks. I started this thread on January 31st, right? Not a thing has been done to fix the situation. How can that possibly make this company look good?
Oh well, this is great stuff for your competition to read, copy, and point to as a good reason to stay away from this company. On second thought, you management types can’t be that pissed off at me, can you? So probably just two reasons why this continues, like I originally was thinking.
But the reason why that third reason comes to the fore is because I seem to be alone in having this problem. I don’t see anybody else complaining about the problem.
<> <> <> <> <>
EDIT: Excuse me for being confusing in that last sentence above. I shouldn’t have written “third” reason without making it clear it was actually the first reason on the list, but the thrird reason that came to mind. That being the bit about somebody being pissed off at me.
In fact, that only Eddy has shown an interest out of all the other staff members here also points to some yak-yak going on in the “backroom” that then points to the staff pointing out what a jerk ManyQs is and he should just be ignored.
I mean, in all seriousness, what other possible conclusions could there be?
