Premium Avast Mobile Security

I have now subscribed (again) to the premium subscription model I have a few questions. 1st question. It says one of the features is priority help so what do you have to do to use that feature? 2nd question I was promised an ad free experience which is all well and good but I am still seeing adds everywhere else. (Avast Cleanup and Avast Battery Saver) What’s that about? It was not said that it would only be add free in AMS.

There is no premium version of AMS for about a year.
There is only a free version and it does come with (promotional) ads.

Maybe they reintroduced it, but if so I haven’t heard of it yet.
I only know that Cleanup for Android is available as paid version as of late.

Just for you Eddy as you seem to think I come on here to lie about things. (Avast Premium being free and now this.) Then and now you will unfortunately have egg on your face. Shrugs shoulders

See for yourself go to App locker in AMS it will tell you to lock more then 3 apps to go premium. Then you can do so for £5.99 for which you get priority support, add free experience and unlimited app lock. What they don’t tell you is it’s add free ONLY in the app you have paid for it on. So for me only AMS is add free which is a P take. Correction it’s £6.99

we are playing with new premium, because many users were asking for it. Ad free experience, etc. Right now, it’s being released to 1% of userbase, and license is only for AMS. License is bounded only to one application (since it’s Google Play In App Purchase), but in couple of months we introduce also bundles for better price. “Priority help” feature means you can ask on support (via Settings => Help & Support - Avast direct support) and you will get response from us prior of other users.

Thanks for the response Hermonsky but it did not say it’s ad free only for AMS it said add free so I want a refund. How do I go about that?

As for the premium support ha! I sent an email using the in app support before I left a thread on here. Guess which one was answered first and guess which one I am still waiting for? So 2 out of 3 features is not really (for me) doing what was stated so I am paying £6.99 a year for app locking. Nah thanks.

P.S. I have sent my refund request via the premium support. I’ll let you all know on here when I get a reply to my first email and to my refund request.

Hi Patrice, this forum is not under the Support, it is maintained mainly by the AMS team members.
Your request sent through the app will surely be processed asap, the new system has just been introduced, so thanks for your patience.

I know it’s not the same as premium support but it’s funny that I had a reply quicker then I ever did from the premium support. Never mind I have been issued a refund and all is ok with the world again :slight_smile:

I agree with you there. Maybe it just shows that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Which is not good either…I would advise people to wait until the ad free option is active on all their apps and not just the one as that was NOT mentioned when I signed up.

I like this news! I hate the ads in the product. Is there a link to be able to access the Premium version?

The answer is no.

No there is not at the moment. It will be introduced to everybody soon.

I think that they are only testing it with a few people for customer feedback purposes as well as infrastructure reasons.

In all honesty I would wait until the bundles comes into play, at least the ad free feature that they advertise will be across all their mobile apps and not just AMS as it is now.

It’s a bit expensive just to be ad free in one app.

Today, AMS updated to 5.8.1-13784-f6cf43b on my 3 Android devices. Included is an “Upgrade” option to get rid of the ads in it’s interface. It seems this is being rolled out by Avast.

I’m glad I read this before subscribing. I have been hoping for an ad-free option for mobile. The ads in AMS don’t bother me so much, but in Battery Saver they’re extremely irritating. I am considering uninstalling Battery Saver for this reason, so I hope you guys hurry up with this bundle. Thanks.

Yes I am aware of that I would guess you should have a reply by tomorrow.

I would suggest that anyone who has an Avast Premium PC license to also have that license extended to the mobile apps. It just makes sense that if someone has purchased the top of the line Premium product, that it apply to the mobile versions as well.
