Premium Security not scanning gmail attachments & eM Client

I have the Mail Shield enabled and have also enabled:

Scan inbound emails (POP3, IMAP4)
Add a signature to the end of sent emails

I am using eM Client (offline email client) to send and receive emails
Can I get this to work?
