How do I PREVENT avast from scanning my Outlook?
I just stopped the Outlook “provider”. Did I do the right thing?

The outlook provider only scan the emails received through Outlook. The resident shield will scan the executable outlook.exe.
Are you talking about MS Outlook or Outlook Express?
Why do you need to disable avast scanning?
