Printer cannot connect to internet since I upgraded - help!

Hi all,

My printer can no longer connect to internet. The only change I have made to my computer is to upgrade my Avast Antivirus. I keep getting a "WLAN access point/router cannot be detected) page that prints out after I try to set up wifi. I have called my internet provider who thinks it might be the firewall. We turned it off but nothing changed. The router works fine. I went to Brother site to install the most updated version of the drivers and software - still nothing. Any thoughts/ideas on this?

  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?

If it is a avast version with firewall, to what it the network set ? (public/private)
Also remove the rule(s) in the firewall and recreate them.
