Pro 2015 not deleting "temps" file after boot scan

I have noticed that the last couple of times I have done a boot scan with Pro 2015 it is using up HD space at the rate of about 10GB per scan. I located the avast file in the temps folder and it just keeps growing after every scan. I have to manually delete it. I was under the impression that Avast deleted the file after the scan was complete. Any help would be most useful! Thanks!

That is certainly what is meant to happen on completion of the scan the contents are cleared. This happens on on-access and on-demand scans at is as far as I’m aware if the avast folder is used in the same way on the boot-time scan - then avast should clear it.

Do you have any other security based applications on your system, anti-malware, firewall, etc. ?
It is possible that another function is locking those files and avast is unable to remove them.

No other programs. Avast Pro 2015 is it.

Are you getting this happen on other avast on-demand scans ?

What is the full location of the avast folder - some times the environment variables may differ ?
Mine avast temp location is C:\WINDOWS\Temp_avast_ and I only have two files in there AvastLock.txt & Webshlock.txt

File location is C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local_avast_

Can you please post a screenshot of the Explorer window with that folder open? (to see both the path and the list of files inside)
The path doesn’t make much sense to me… first, I don’t have that folder on my computer at all (AppData\Local_avast_), second - the boot-time scan runs under localsystem account, so it wouldn’t use a temp folder of a different user (who isn’t even logged on at the moment), it would use C:\Windows\Temp.
Thanks.
