Matousec does leak test and avast has not HIPS, I think that’s the reason

As you can see all firewall hips got a good result. If you look clearly its say proactive. So if you are a HIPS man/girl then Matousec is for you. If you are more a no hips man/girl well this time i dont know any tester business that does test the firewall but no hips…
Ask any 1 and im sure he will help you and this time im sure avast! Firewall will score a high one. Too bad but hips for me is like a toys that you shouldnt mess with. I dont wanna start a big subject but i think its shouldnt have born that thing.

Not a ‘computer’ HIPS fan here 
I use computer to ‘enjoy’ my time, to make my works ‘easier’ and deal with fewer stuff to do something.
A HIPS protection is something that avoid that, like I don’t like answer a lot of questions to run a new program and start working, or answer a bunch of question to watch a DVD…
Really I see no reason to use HIPS. If my computer is web-client, Well, Sandbox will do the job! or an Installation of Ubuntu inside windows is something really easy. if my computer is developing station so HIPS is toxin for such system and only a silent firewall and an AV with very high-detetion rate is fine since only experts are using that system. if system is for average users who want to play online game, watch movie, run games got from friends etc. HIPS will not works because they will keep allowing to start the stuff so again HIPS became useless…
there are very few users who could got a real benefit from HIPS. because I could infect systems protected with HIPS. HIPS will prevent what I said in beginning. you use security software to don’t get adware popup and instead HIPS will give you popup, you use security software to don’t let malware slow-down your computer and instead HIPS will slowdown your works with eat resource or ask question before everything…
one other thing is that else than 1-2 HIPS enabled products almost every other HIPS products had a lot of bug or compability problems.

The firewalls in security suites work together with the other components in the suite. Matousec disables these other components so that’s why the more devoted, standalone firewalls do better. And his tests test HIPS more than firewalls.
