Problem connecting with avast! account

Avast! Free 7.0.1426 on Windows 7 64 Bit SP1, while trying to debug aother problem I’m having I noticed a message in the avast! console saying I’m not connected to any avast! account. I don’t know why because I registered recently. So I put in the email & password I used to register with and click “Connect to account.”

The webpage this brings up tells me: “Unverified Account To log in to My AVAST Account, you must follow the confirmation email to your email address” So I click on the link in the confirmation mail again and the webpage says “link expired”. If I try resend, I get the message “This email is already in use.” How do I get out of this silly loop?

I’m in the same place, I don’t know what recent change they made but I don’t like it.

We had this problem not long ago and it was at the avast! end.

You might wait a day or so and see if it is corrected.

If you’re in a hurry, I can’t help.

I just tried connecting and did so with no problem.

Perhaps your problem is related to something else.

Having just re-installed avast! I am now able to link OK.
