Im new to the forums and have been using Avast for some time, however recently Avast performed an update and now I cannot download NZB files from www.newzbin.com. My default browser is Mozilla but still doesnt work in IE. After terminating the WebShield residential process - all works fine again, but a bit of pain that when I want to download Ive got to disable/re-eable the WebShield. All other downloads work fine, and I have tried configuring the URL in the exceptions config place but to no avail.
Has anybody any ideas ??

I replied three times to your email, but your mail server keeps refusing it. Are you getting ANY emails? Looks like your email server is toast.
This is an excerpt from the NDR (non-deliverable-report) I kept getting:
----- Transcript of session follows -----
451 resilientsystems.co.uk: Name server timeout
Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours
Will keep trying until message is 5 days old
This is what I wrote to you in the message:
Hi,
thanks for the message.
OK, so I tried to logon with the username & password, and guess what,
it says “Error: No such user exists.”.
Strange, isn’t it?
BTW I have tried 3 more times to register on that site, but
no confirmation email was delivered at all… :-(
BTW I was able to log in to that site with the username/password you sent to me, but was unable to simulate the problem… The nzb files seem to download fine here, even with WebShield enabled… :-\
Thanks for trying and strange that you do not have a problem. I have tried again to enable the web shield and the problem has started up again. As a work around, how do you configure the web shield to ignore any downloads from this web site, I have tried but to no avail
And it doesn’t work at all on your machine, or just sometimes? Or just some links?
BTW what browser do you use to download the files? And do you have them associated with a program? Or you just save them to disk?
The problem occurs for every single Message ID I try to download, and my default browser is Mozilla, however the problem also occurs in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
I have again, just disabled the Web Sheild and the problem disappears ???
