Problem, how do I fix a "stuck" pixel on a CRT (the old ones) monitor ?

Heya guys. Sorry for the bother again, but how do you fix a stuck pixel on a CRT monitor ? I tried the pressure-turn on-turn off method, but I think thats best for LCD screens …

Right now, I’m trying the JScreen fix Java applet. Hope that’ll work … Any help, guys ?

I’ve heard of pixels getting “stuck” on an LCD screen, but not on a CRT: I think they just burnt out for good on a CRT.

Here’s something for the same problem with an LCD screen:

This is the first time I have heard of this in a CRT monitor (dead pixels, fixed colour, etc. on TFTs yes) and as Frank says it may be dead and it is unlikely to be fixed with a software solution.

With the cost of CRTs very low (second user ones are almost a give away price) if it is such a distraction then replacement is probably your best option. TFTs are also relatively cheap, so now might be the time to switch unless there is something that specifically requires a CRT (photo editing typically, colour balance, etc.)
