Both pcs display in GUI latest update as 7.0,1483 and second pc as 6.0.1483. Tried repair on both, but it didn’t help, so I presume, it’s server issue?
Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for all versions).
Now uninstall avast! (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that start from the next step), reboot.- 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility, it will reguest it be run from safe mode (and will handle the boot into safe mode), first for 6.x, 7.x if previously installed and then for 8.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.- 3. install the latest version, reboot.
No, I am not reinstalling version 7 on this pc, and version 6 on my netbook. This all happened once the newest 8.0.1483 version was aired today, so it is kind of weird to display on BOTH pcs with different avast free versions.
Ah…no no, you don’t understand. I meant for example - I have version 6.0.1367 and it is stated there it is the version. But in maintenance update it states my version is 6.1367 and the latest one to download is 6.0.1483 instead of 8.01483.
And the same states with version 7 that there is latest update 7.0.1483 to download
Well, it’s not a vital thing in avast. I’ll endure it, until I make my mind for newest version (I am bit afraid after experiences of trying put version 7 into my netbook with XP SP3)
Well contrary to what it is indicating there is no build .1483 in those versions and if you did update you would be on 8.0.1483 not 6.0.x or 7.0.x with that build number.
