Please add (Solved) to the title in your original post.
You can’t have a Logout on a Signin screen.
Thanks for your help
No I am already signed in, at times when i go to log out there is no log out button.
If you look at my attachment, I am signed in with only these options left Home Help Login Register as you can see no logout.
Precisely my point. you can’t have a login screen showing and expect to use it to sign out.
(Your browser didn’t do a good job of updating it’s status.)
When i log in it is a normal, all buttons are there.
When i am using the forum the screen attachment is what i can end up with.
I do not have this problem on any other forum, just on this forum.
This has happened in ie9 chrome Firefox.
So far this time i have been logged in no problems.
Thanks for your assistance
Edit : Seems to behaving itself at the moment.
Have placed solved to the title in my original post.
If problem reappears will repost.
Have removed solved.
Problem i was having with logging out is back. ( see attachment).
Tried other forums no problem.
Was mentioned in a earlier post about (Your browser didn’t do a good job of updating it’s status.)
If this is the problem, wouldn’t this also accur in other forums i log into.
The attachment clearly shows that you are NOT logged in … ergo your browser is at fault and not updating itself as Bob said.
Logging in works fine across Opera 12,16, Opera20, Chrome, IE11, and Firefox from here.
Look to the add ons, themes you have installed.

Question if I am not signed in, how come i can still post, check out profile information etc.
I am not trying to be clever, I genuinely do not understand.

You are physically logged in, BUT, your browser is not updating the images.
The image you attached is missing many elements, there are other menu links missing from the menu bar. The " Help" button is distorted.
Go to the forum in a different browser and look at the layout.
gertty, are you using the AdBlock Plus extension? If so, a custom filter you created may cause such an effect by accident.

No i’m not using AdBlock plus.
Thanks for your suggestion.
Seems to be okay in chrome, may have to completely uninstall Firefox and reinstall.
Thanks to everyone for your assistance.
I am using chrome all seems to be well.
