Problem occures - Avast! stops

Hi,

I have strange problem with Avast! For some days program stops during normal work. In the beginning just Web Shield stopped and it could work when I turned it on, but today suddenly during normal work in internet two avast! icons with “a” and “i” disappeared. Besides, in all of cases avast! shows the information about internal error and asks for send the report to the centre by SMTP.

There was no such problem any time - I have it for two-three days. It’s unnormal, so I’m asking for help on this forum.

But Avast! I’m using Spyware Terminator and Ashampoo Firewall, everything under Windows 2000 SP4.

You probably still have an infection, probably a rootkit on your system that is killing avast.

After running the above rootkit tools if nothing is found try these.
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode.
AVG anti-spyware or SUPERantispyware or Spyware Terminator.
