Excuse me for the translation, i’m from Belgium and i speak french.
I use Avast Home for my personnal computer (Laptop Vaio AR21S). I use for my security BlazingTools Software: “perfect keylogger” (see: www.blazingtools.com).
But since i had install Avast, it consider it like a virus and destroy my files.
My question is…how can i configure Avast to accept this software?
Firstly avast doesn’t destroy anything, but alerts you to what it believes to be an infected file, you have a number of options to choose from, Delete is only one of those options, it just so happens to be the worst one.
So which option did ‘you’ choose ?
Move to chest is the best option as it leaves you with alternatives where, deletion leaves none.
You should confirm that the software file that is being detected isn’t really infected.
You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner and report the findings here. You can’t do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to extract it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.
Create a folder called Suspect in the C:\ drive, e.g. C:\Suspect. Now exclude that folder in the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect* That will stop the standard shield scanning any file you put in that folder. You should now be able to export any file in the chest to this folder and upload it to VirusTotal without avast alerting.
