Problem on computer startup

Hi: I had asked this a few days ago, but just did a search & the thread seems to have disappeared.

I was expecting an email attachment, & avast went nuts when I started reading my mail.
I sent the file to the chest. A short while later I decided I wanted to look at that file, went to the chest & sent the file to a floppy.

Now, every time I boot, that file folder writes to a floppy. If I don’t let it, Avast won’t start.
If I remove the floppy, the sysatem boot stops iuntil I insert the floppy.
The icons come on in the system tray, but the properties show 7 processes loaded Zero running.

I use outlook express for my emails.

I am running WinXP, 1.5G ram.

The flename/folder name is WSN or VVSN (V V S N)
The folder is empty.

Any suggerstions?

John

This is your original thread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20676.0 I believe and Igor answered it and asked 3 questions.

So I suggest you abandon this thread and either expand any information in the original thread, in doing so this will bump it to the top.

How did I find it ? - Click your Profile button and then find the ‘Show the last posts of this person.’ and you will see a list of your posts along with the content.

David: Will do, consider this abandoned.
However I did reply to Igor’s questions,
well before I reposted my question.

I would not have reposed if I could have found it

Thank you
