Problem to log in to AVAST Account over the ui ? (login host not resolveable)

i work on Win10.
i tried to login into the avast ui but it comes up an errors, connection to login server @ Avast could not be established.
I have MVPS hosts in use, to prevent AD and else.
After investigation, i have found out the following: remove www.googletagmanager.com from the MVPS list and you can login.
see local DNS Cache :

using DNS Cache without MVPS entries in the Hosts File:

www.googletagmanager.com
----------------------------------------
Eintragsname . . . . . : www.googletagmanager.com
Eintragstyp . . . . . : 5
Gültigkeitsdauer . . . : 230
Datenlänge. . . . . . : 8

CNAME-Eintrag . . . . : www-googletagmanager.l.google.com

Eintragsname . . . . . : www-googletagmanager.google.com
Eintragstyp . . . . . : 1
Gültigkeitsdauer . . . : 230
Datenlänge . . . . . . : 4
Abschnitt. . . . . . . : Antwort
(Host-)A-Eintrag . . : 216.58.201.232

Login WORKS NOW

With ENTRY in MVPS /Hosts:
www.googletagmanager.com
----------------------------------------
Eintragsname . . . . . : www.googletagmanager.com
Eintragstyp . . . . . : 1
Valid… . . . : 86400
Datalength . . . . . . : 4

(Host-)A-Eintrag . . : 0.0.0.0

Login does not work

but before login, try ipconfig /FLUSHDNS and - deactivate and reactivate your Networkinterface (or WLAN Interface).
(i have done this only with flushdns, and login does not work. after resetting the lan interface with on/off to activate, then it works)

then take login data to the AVAST UI and cklick to login, it will be work now.
hope, someone will be helped.

greetz !

One of the problems when using a Changed Host File is that it can affect which sites
can or can not be reached.
I personally use the default Host File and use other methods to prevent visiting unwanted websites.

it is not a problem  - think - avast should not be totally socialized forced to work on a login form.
I cannot see any sense in this behaviour.
Each customer can / should decide by themself, which kind of “blocking” they are using.
Avast doen’t give an functions to set this in the App.
So, we need others - in this case, a modified hosts file.

After regadring the wan interface on my router, i see many requests from AVAST - which are malformed to work on secure DNS
if avast want to have any informations, i can send log sections to analyze.

Simple answer: If you want Avast to protecgt your computer and protect you while you’re in the internet,
you’ll need to grant it access. That would also be the case if you used another AV.
