Problem when I try to download something from a web page

Hi,
I always get the following error message when I try to download something from a web page, when the transfer completes.

title: ashSimpl
text: Unknown parameter
OK

As soon, I press OK, the avast program pops up. I’m using avast 4.7.

Any leads?

What download manager are you using ?

I assume you are using the means to scan downloads in a download manager, etc. but I believe you are using the wrong file, ashSimpl. exe is the simple user interface and not the quick scanner. You need to use ashQuick.exe.
Assuming that you installed avast! in the default folder, this is the path needed to scan downloads, C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe

I do not use a download manager.

Simply do “Right click (I’m using Firefox) + save target as”.

Ok, the mistake was into “download statuts bar settings” (by firefox)
Now is ok
