This is my situation: (and sorry for my bad english)
100 PC with netclient correctly installed and works correctly with AMS updates
1 server “srvsecurity” with ADMN & Sql 2005 database.
I’ve installed Avast!server edition on this server.
The problem is that my console of ADNM put “srvsecurity” in gray icon and i’m not able to control my server as a client workstation.
Is this correct(that i installed server edition) or there is another metod to control my server from ADNM?
Or is normal that i cant control from admn consolle computers where i’ve istalled avast server?
The reason you are seeing your server as Grey in the list is you have installed Server Edition which is the standalone unmanaged version of the product.
You need to create a package for Net Server; you can do this by selecting create new package then change the drop down menu from Net Client to Net Server. Then do create a deployment task and select the server package and the server you wish to deploy to.
Net Client doesn’t install on a server as it is for workstations only.
