HELLO - excuse for my english but i don’t speak english :
hello, I installed avast family but I arive step to lace it here the texts error:

1 - “impossible to open the peripheral or the file specified” "avast user interface
“screen splash avast” could not charge the configuration

2 - “impossible to open the peripheral or the file specified” “avast user interface
simplified impossible to charge the configuration”

Have (or did) you another AntiVirus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

I had another antivirus but I have it delete before

Yes, but what was it (?) as some of them are bad for leaving parts behind even when uninstalled that can interfere with your new anti-virus.

Can you run ashSimp2.exe without any problems?
Can you run ashSimpl.exe ?
Both on avast folder…

The Clamwin free version doesn’t have a resident (on-access) scanner so shouldn’t be a problem even if it were installed, perhaps something that Tech is thinking about. I believe there are some forum members who use that as a back-up on-demand scanner.

Software I am installing requires to disable any antivirus. How can I disable & enable ClamWin? You don't need to disable ClamWin Free Antivirus as it does not yet include on-access scanner. It won't conflict with the software you are trying to install.
