Problem with BS.Player (started today) PLEASE HELP !!!!

Hello,

I’ve been using AVAST and BS.Player for a couple of years and everything worked fine.

Today I’ve launched BS.Player, and when it tried to check for subtitles online - AVAST window popped (sandbox) and simply blocked.

I tried to uninstall BS.Player - AVAST won’t let me do it either !

HELP !

Have you been updated to version 7?

You should probably submit BS.Player to virustotal.com to insure it is clean. Please post the results here.

There was no option to open normally? Or open in sandbox? Will you please attach a screen shot of the avast warning message?

Before you uninstall BS.Player, would you like to know the problem first?

If you would like to uninstall BS.Player you could boot into safemode, then you should not have a problem.

virustotal results:
File name: bsplayer261.1065.exe
Detection ratio: 3 / 43

eSafe Virus in password protected archive
F-Prot File is damaged
Symantec Suspicious.Cloud

Here’s what happens when I try to Install/Uninstall/Run the program:

I tried to run it in sandbox/regular way - It doesn’t work

Change the AutoSandbox to ask ,then when it pops up,just allow BS player.

The BS player has been known to carry spyware…just be forewarned.

Interesting… It never happened before, should I stop using it ?

Are you positive that it is a safe file? Each detection seems different. You might want to run a scan with Malwarebytes free edition.

In the image, I see that you have the gadget running. Turn off the gadget, run BS.Player again. It will automatically analyze the file. When you see the popup, select open normally. This should automatically enter the name and path of the program into the AutoSandbox exclusions.

The reason for turning off the gadget is that there is some kind of problem with how the exclusion is automatically populated into the exclusions with the gadget on.

Tried that - didn’t help

Did you try above? Also, you did turn off the avast gadget, correct?

Have you tried manually entering the program and path into the exclusions?
Will you please post a screen shot of your autosandbox exclusions?

If you have any doubts on whether or not the BS.player is clean then uninstall it. (use safemode if required)
