Under run, services.msc I have two avast! settings that should be set on automatic. avast!mail scanner and avast!web scanner. When I try to set them to automatic I get an access denied (which is odd since I am the administrator account) and an error message pops upfrom avast! saying:
Write to registry key\Restery\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\avast! Mail Scanner\denied and
\Restery\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\avast! Mail Web\denied. These setting should be on automatic but nothing I can figure out will work! How do I fix this what’s up
No, these services should not be set to automatic. The main avast! antivirus service starts them when needed.

Thanks I did not know that! Avast! is new to me and I thought that all systems should be on auto.
