avast automatically upgraded program few days ago and then asked to restart.
Afterthat the Thunderbird email client with pop up email stopped to work, says popup server does not responds. The Outlook continues to work
Wehn terminate Internet Email On Access in Avast, the problem disappears.
It happened in the last upgrade only
Anyone else has experienced the same? What to do? :-[
I have had a similar problem since the update but have resolved it by starting Thunderbird in its safe mode (from the start menu), and then disabling the ‘talkback’ crash reporting add-on. I’m not sure whether it is the fault of the avast update (I think there may have been a thunderbird update as well), but it’s certainly something that could use quickly looking into.
I and all the folks I support are on the latest release of Thunderibrd (2.0.0.18) and the current release of avast (build 1290). None of us are experiencing any issues with the two products and have not needed to take any unusual steps.
