Problem with Malware/ Autorun Virus

Dear Avast staff,

Please note I have Avast Internet Security running up to date and still it seems a usb stick inserted in my system has given it the auto run virus menace that everyone seems to be having, making Avast warn of a copertps.com/k and etpsoprc.ru/a, as well as turning all my icons in my Main Folder into shortcuts (I have attached image as evidence). This virus is terrible and no anti-malware program or Avast itself will even detect it, much less remove it.

Please help me fix my problem, I have done the steps mentioned here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Next post I will include all logs from the scans.

Thank you in advance.

Fabio.

Attached are the logs pt1

Great! Now just wait for essexboy or for someone else who is malware expert to come online…you can make some coffee in the meanwhile

Thanks, done and attached is the log.

I still see all the hidden shortcuts to my personal folders, are those normal? I don’t recall ever seeing them on regular use.

Ignore those for now, the are system files that will be re-hidden when I tidy up

How is the computrer behaving now ?

It seems to be working fine now, no more threat warnings. Do I need to do anything else?

thanks

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
