and here is the result of the quick scan with malwarebytes which came up clean…
could this be a false report?
since the move to chest button doesnt work I dont know how to remove move or delete the infected file shown on previous screenshot
the funny thing is that just an hour before the weekly scan the program run the daily scan with same settings and found no file or infection whatsoever
here is the previous result on a screenshot
first… files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected
avast just give you a scan error report and the reason why
memory scan… short version DO NOT USE memory scan setting as this will give some veird scan results
there are hundreds of cases in here if you searc the forum
i recomend you use default quick/full scan with default scan settings… unless you have some special need or know something the avast guys dont know
also, when you have avast and malwarebytes, there is no need for the old and obsolete SpyBoot SD
I will check my scan settings, I thought it would be even safer to use all the scanning abilities avast gives…
yeap I meant to remove the spybot last week but forgot it there
if it was safer then it would be sett as default
the avast guys have worked with malware 24/7 for 20 years so they know what works
malwarebytes may have 10 updates a day…SbyBot once a week
so in one week they have more updates then spyboot in a year
I did remove it after all those remnants are probably some registration or other files that dont get deleted when we remove the program from the add/remove option of windows
by the way since its the first time I come up to this memory block thing do you know if it affects the way my computer runs in some way? and it was odd to me that it appeared on an avast file - sorry if I tire you with those questions
does the computer behave weird?
not really so far…
if you want Essexboy to have a look inside, then follow this guide and attach a OTL log
found another three of these memory blocks in antimalwarebyte executables this time… I know you told me not to run memory scans but it sounds strange to me that it started finding viruses after at least 3 years I use the avast antivirus with the exact same settings… I wonder if I really have an infection somewhere hidden in my system… sigh!
I attach the new found blocks in a screenie, and the OTL results just in case someone sees it and tells me how to get rid of those memory blocks or if they are a real danger for my system
thanks again so very much!!!
