When I run NVidia updates, I get an error that says I’m attempting to download a rare file. If I choose “continue”, the message clears, but it comes every update check for the same file “0.dat”. For now I’ve changed my NVidia update frequency from daily to monthly so I don’t get annoyed every day. What I’d like to do is either have Avast update its records so I don’t get this false warning or tell me how to create an exception to allow it.
From the “dat” extension, I’m guessing the file is used by the update program to see if my drivers are current.
