The problem is with new format of docs in Office 2007

I’m ussing Office 2007
Avast pro 4.7 (trial)

New office saves docs in the new format (for examole Word.docx and not as before Word.doc) This is the reason why AV doesnt recodnize the new format and decides that it is virus.

Would You be so kind to “teach” Avast to recodnize new file formats?

PS. I have updated bases, now csanning C:// and Itstall pack of MO 2007

If avast! (or any other antivirus, I’d guess) doesn’t recognize the format, it simply doesn’t do anything - claimimg it a virus would be very strange.
So, what exactly is your problem? What virus is reported and where (what file)? I find it hard to believe that all Office 2007 documents would be reported as infected…
