problem with printer

I have a PC with windows 7 and an all-in-one ws5540 from epson. I can no longer print to my printer using my wireless card. I can e-mail to my wifes apple Ipad and she can print off what I send her. I went to Epsons Tec support and they said I have a Trojan and it can take over my pc etc… now I find that he techic from India named “Chris” has removed my printer from the network which may be good. but what trojan was installed and how do I find it and remove it. I thought Avast would see a Trojan.

Eddy I ran the Malware and it found 5 suspicious entrys and removed them. I tried to print and nothing. I’m a newbie was I suppose to reboot first or do something else?
