problem with security control of windows vista

i bought a new pc and had avast home edition installed…my girlfriend bought me nod32 and i didnt want to disappoint her :stuck_out_tongue: so i unistalled avast,i did reboot my pc and used advanced system optimizer to clean the registry…after that i installed nod32 etc…when i go to the control panel/security i see that my pc finds nod32 and avast running in my system…but i’ve unistalled avast and i’m sure for that…help me plz…

This is an issue with the windows security center, still retaining information on old data (regular in the forums where it doesn’t recognise avast ‘is’ installed.

You don’t say what aOS, guessing Vista as in Vista there is an anti-spyware and anti-virus category to the info, avast could possibly be still showing as the anti-spyware/malware program and nod as the AV ?

Use avast uninstall tool and then reset the Windows Security Center:
