I would like to ask how much time did it need to done the 1st boot-scan after the installation… i taken 10 hours but it still scanning @.@ … is that normal …
my system was centrino core duo 1.66 ghz , 80 GB hardisc with 1 GB RAM,with OS of XP SP2.please help me.
Could be normal. Depending on which type of scan you are doing, how much of the 80gb is to be scanned, what type of files they are, etc.
but my total hardisc was 80GB … i only used 40GB … now it still scanning … 12 hours already@.@. should i be patient to keep waiting or should i restart my NoteBook ? anyone suggest ?
With mine it’s under two hours. About 4gb, and set to scan everything except .dbx. If you have a lot of compressed files, it will take quite awhile, as avast must uncompress, then scan. I believe movies, songs fall into that category.
You should be able to see how much progress avast has made. ie: amount scanned and make your own judgement call.
but it didn’t show the percentage in the progress… my boot-scan is only show the dot full page @.@ come on 13 hours of waiting already … what action should i take now ?
It really doesn’t sound normal… what exactly does avast! show? (i.e. what is the full path displayed as progress right now?)
