the module is active, and the soft is update… :S

what happen with my avast? ??? ???

Do you use any proxy in the problematic computer?
Can you check your settings (customize button)? Is web scanning checked?
Which browser do you use?

no proxy…
web scanning is cheked…
I use FF, IE, Chrome, Opera :stuck_out_tongue:

Really strange…

Can you activate logging in WebShield?
0. (Disable avast self-defense module: Program settings > Troubleshooting tab of settings.)

  1. Edit \data\avast4.ini file with Notepad (or use step 0 with other text editors).
  2. Find the section [WebScanner]
  3. Add the line:
    EnableLogging=1
  4. Restart Web Shield in XP\Vista (terminate and start again) or whole PC in case of Win98
  5. Browse (trying to access some webpages)

The log file are \data\log\ashwebsv.log and ashwebsv.ws.
They would be accessible when WebShield is terminated again.
Post them here or send by mail to rypacek (at) asw.cz
After that, disable the logging to avoid a big log file.

Oh, enable the self-defense module again after that if you have to follow step 0.

here my avast4.ini
[WebScanner]
AutoRedirect=1
HttpRedirectPort=80
LoadIsapiFilters=1
ISAPIFilter1=ashWsFtr.dll
IgnoreAddress=
IgnoreLocalhost=1
ZoneAlarmCompatibility=1
EnableLogging=1

AshWebSv.log and AshWebSv.ws have 0kB

Did you follow step 4?

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).

yes I follow the step 4

I will repair… just give me a moment :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok. I’ll be out for launch :slight_smile:

done… the same… still no working
here is the report

Was it correctly uninstalled? Can’t we think that remains of ZA are interfering?

I have uninstalled the ZA and the problem is the same :S

Welcome,

http://www.firewallleaktester.com will not be available for a few months from now primarily due to the money it costs me each month (more than 40Euro).

Why would they want ZoneAlarm when it causes problems?

For those viewing to avoid confusion, avast version 4.8.1355 is a beta build, the latest regular release is 4.8.1351.
