I have problem with virus base update. Befor i reinstalled Avast it downloaded itself a new virus update of today. I reinstalled it with “Uninstall utility” everything goes fine. Installed it again, and can’t update the virus base which is from 120223-1. When I try do update it manually it says that I already updated it to 120304-1… Is the reason of this situation that it saved my IP adress that I downloaded already todays virus base ?
Or what is the problem ?
No, it’s not related to the IP.
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
After, will the virus definitions be correct shown?

I did what Tech said and it update but I’ve got another windows with some “conformity program assistant” (don’t know if in english it sounds like this) With a question "If this program wasn’t uninstalled properly, try to uninstal it again, using proper settings with this version of Windows. C:\Program files\Avast Software…\aswRundll.exe

I know what was the problem, for safe I disconnected my internet. I reinstalled Avast again with “Uninstal utility” and it downloaded itself virus update. Thx guys
