After downloading the latest version of Avast and restarting my computer I got a message from Avast Error 10106. It also said that i should check AvastSvc.exe if it was blocked by Windows Firewall. I did that and there was no block for Avast. When i reinstaled avast it worked ok but when I updated it I got the same problem. Help anyone?
This should NOT be happening with the new Update - I have it working fine with newest.
And yes, you are unprotected with the Webshield off/not working, this your number 2 line of defense - It’s scanning the webpages you visit with downloadable content - But the File Shield can still kick in.
PS. I messaged DavidR - He should help you when he’s online - But for now, don’t go into any suspicous Websites/links.
