Problem with YPops!

I am using YPops! (former yahoopops) to access mailboxes on yahoo using POP3 protocol. For months I had no problem with it. Today I turned up my computer and there it is, a problem - ypops can’t start because Avast found trojan.gen in libcurl.dll. Also Avast updated today, but problem remained. Virustotal found 4 out of 11

Avast Build: Jul2008 (4.8.1229)
VPS: 25.07.2008 080725-0
YPOPs! Version 0.9.5.1

Hi…

I would recommend sending a copy of the file in a password protected archive (zip file) to virus[at]avast[dot]com (don’t forget to include the password in the message body.)

Alwil will be able to test it and if it is a false positive, they will include a correction in the next update.

Best Regards…

As a workaround, you can add these files to the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning) exclusion list.
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize. Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…
You can use wildcards like * and ?. But be careful, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in danger.
