do you mean that vista does not recognize that avast is the anti-virus installed on your computer ???
i have vista ultimate on mine and no problem :o

before the backup of my pc, avast was recognizite by Vista
but after i had a problem with the graphic card and when the problem was resoult, i installed again avast and i have this problem.
now i try to disinstal avast and reinstal and i see waths appens…

Although this was an XP related fix, it has worked for Vista also.

Did anybody test this on Vista? I’ve posted on my XP experience and I did not test it on Vista…
Seems that it should work, but it will be good to have an official (experimental) answer for this…

I know of at least one that has tried that fix and it worked.
